If the dishwasher does not fill up or the washing cycle does not start, do not rush to contact the service center. Do-it-yourself ardo dishwasher repairs.
In this article we will tell you how to find the cause of the breakdown of Italian equipment, eliminate it at home.
Error codes dishwashers "Ardo" collected and described in detail in a separate article.
The reasons for the breakdown of the Ardo dishwasher
The Ardo dishwasher is equipped with sensitive electronics, which is constantly exposed to voltage drops. This is one of the main causes of equipment breakdowns. If the main module malfunctions, the machine does not work, the panel does not respond to pressing, the started washing cycle lasts indefinitely, until you disconnect the PMM from the network.
Other breakdowns occur:
- Overflow of water. A constant intake or drain indicates a malfunction of the level sensor (pressure switch), which controls the water level in the tank. Repair will not work, you can only replace the pressure switch tube.
- Leakage. Hoses could wear out, loosen connections. The tank of the machine is also inspected at the time of the leak. A float sensor that sends a leak signal is also checked.
- High power consumption may indicate a heater problem. Why? Due to hard water, the heater is scaled. It becomes more difficult for him to heat water, more energy is spent.
- Blockage in the system. If the dishwasher does not draw water or does not drain it after washing the dishes, check the system for clogging. Food debris, fragments of dishes can clog filters and hoses.
- Incorrect connection of PMM to communications also leads to problems with the operation of the equipment.
How to fix the breakdown yourself, read below. Pay attention to the machine display: often when a malfunction occurs, the system issues an error code. It indicates a specific equipment failure.
How to repair your Ardo dishwasher with your own hands
There is a simple malfunction, which probably happened with every dishwasher after a year or two of operation - this is a blockage. We will figure out how to get rid of it and in what sequence to disassemble the details. But first, we will tell you what to do before disassembling.
Water does not enter the tank
What to do:
- Check for water in the water supply.
- Turn on the stopcock. Maybe it was blocked.
- If there is insufficient pressure in the water supply, wait for it to resume or call a specialist.
If everything is in order, continue to the next step.
Eliminate blockage in the system
The problem can manifest itself in different ways, depending on which part of the machine is clogged.
If you turn on the Ardo PMM, but the water does not reach the tank, check the filling system.
- Unplug the equipment and turn off the water supply.
- Unscrew one end of the inlet hose from the machine body, the other end from the pipeline.
- Rinse the hose under running water.
- Next, get the filter mesh. It is located at the inlet of the intake valve.
- Clean it from dirt.
- Check the filler valve; its pipe may clog. In this case, loosen the clamp, disconnect and clean the hose.
- The valve itself is checked for serviceability with a multimeter. In case of breakage, the part must be replaced.
If the water is normally filled, but does not go away after washing, clean the drain channel:
- Open the hopper door.
- Pull out baskets and dish trays.
- There is a filter at the bottom - pull it up and pull it out.
- If there is a metal mesh at the bottom, also remove it.
- Clean parts under running water with a brush.
- Behind the filter is a drain pump. Before you get to it, you need to remove water from the hole. Use a kitchen sponge for this.
- Remove the pump cover by pressing and pulling it towards you.
- Inspect the impeller of the pump. Remove dirt.
Have you noticed that the dishes are poorly laundered? Inspect the spray nozzles; they could also become clogged. The fix is simple: remove the sprayer and brush with a toothpick under running water.
We solve problems with leakage
What is checked:
- The tank is inspected at the time of damage. If it is proven that it is leaking, it will have to be replaced.
- The hoses and their connections are checked for leaks.
- The door is inspected. Found that the door is leaking? Then replace the gaskets. It is simple to do: remove the old gasket around the perimeter of the door, install the same in the seat.
- It is also worth checking how tight the door closes. The loops may have loosened and need to be tightened.
We replace the heater
If the machine has stopped heating water, there may be several reasons:
- heater wiring is damaged;
- burned relay TENA on the control board;
- heater overgrown with scale or burned out.
How to replace:
- Remove all trays from the tank.
- Take out the filter and drain the water.
- Put the dishwasher “on its back”, having previously put a rag.
- The heater is connected to the pump by a rubber fastener.
- Disconnect the mount.
- Disconnect the wiring of the heater.
- Remove the clamp from the nozzle and pull the part out of the housing.
Install the new element in the reverse order. If burnt wires are found during inspection, they must be replaced.
Proper installation of the dishwasher
After purchasing the equipment, before completing the installation, look at the instructions. It describes in detail how to properly connect communications. If connected incorrectly, water will constantly drain and drain.
If you are not sure that you can connect the hoses, call the wizard.
Replacing the electronic module
Unfortunately, you can find out about a module malfunction only by external signs. For example:
- indicators on the panel blink randomly;
- keys do not respond to keystrokes;
- the washing program lasts longer than usual.
In fact, there are many signs. Accurately determine the breakdown will help diagnostics in the service center. But you can replace the module yourself:
- open the door and unscrew the six screws on top;
- remove the control panel;
- disconnect the black wire;
- release the latches of the module wires.
As you can see, you can fix the Ardo dishwasher with your own hands. To avoid a malfunction, follow the rules specified in the PMM manual.
